Committees

Each committee shall have a chairperson who is responsible for board reports, committee assignments and ultimately ensuring tasks are completed on time and on budget. Members will also be included as needed and as desired. Committees, committee members and objectives will be established annually at or directly following the annual convention at the discretion of the president and BOD.

1. Work in conjunction with convention host to organize all aspects of upcoming years annual conference. Including: Bid Calling and Marketing contest, speakers, hotel & conference space.
2. Support convention host before, during and after convention.
3. Build a convention committee checklist and list of best practices for MAA records and future years.

Objectives

1. Identification of state and/or national legislative and regulatory issues impacting the auction industry.
2. MAA / NAA Week promotion.
3. MAA, State government relationships.
4. Assist in planning and organizing an MAA event at statehouse during legislative session.
5. Build a convention committee checklist and list of best practices for MAA records and future years.

1. Recruit and retain MAA Membership.
   1. Convention, first time attendee recognition.
2. Website and social media.
   1. Content and platforms.
3. Public relations and marketing.
   1. Press releases & promotional materials.

1. Annually recruit candidates for Board of Directors positions.
2. Assist in election process during annual convention.
3. Annually recruit Hall of Fame nominations.
4. Identify members interested in hosting annual conventions in upcoming years.
